Inside Sales & Customer Service Director

What you will be doing…

As the Sales and Customer Service Director, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies for the short and long term growth of the business in concert with the CEO and the other members of the executive team. You will lead the Sales and Customer Service team in increasing domestic sales and customer satisfaction (and thereby retention) through effective planning and implementation of sales strategies and outstanding customer service skills.  You will contribute vision and leadership to the organization, while also providing inspiration, motivation, and day-to‐day management and tracking for your team.

Job Description

  • Evaluate current sales strategies and industry trends to develop, implement, and analyze strategies, tactics, and plans to grow overall company profitability in the B2B and B2C markets
  • Develop and implement strategies to better understand customer needs, address customer concerns, improve customer relationships, increase customer satisfaction, and ultimately increase overall customer retention.
  • Clearly identify, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) daily for individuals and team to reach performance goals.
  • Work effectively together with other managers and supervisors to create maximum synergy, coordination and cooperation among departments.
  • Work cross functionally with the marketing, product development, quality control, education, and supply chain departments to address and manage issues, implement new sales initiatives, and ensure achievement of sales and customer service objectives that align with overarching Company goals. 

What the ideal candidate will bring to the team…

  • Bachelor's degree required, in business, marketing, or equivalent a plus.
  • Proven track record of outstanding B2B sales performance: including closing new clients and account management
  • ​Proven experience managing Sales and/or Customer Service team required
  • Proven experience managing inside sales team is required
  • Strong negotiating and contract creation/closing skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong leadership skills, with expertise in hiring, coaching, motivating and holding sales and service representatives accountable.
  • Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial, fast paced, and dynamic environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects independently from start to finish.
  • Can create and deliver sales proposals and sales presentations
  • Understands e-commerce and digital advertising and can give strategic direction regarding campaigns
  • Strong analytical skills to understand current KPIs and propose new ones
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional departments to execute sales and customer service related projects
  • Cheerful and positive attitude, with ability to build and nurture strong internal and external relationships
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Fluency in English is a must and in other languages a plus
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, use prioritization skills and concentrate on detailed information in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other departments in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
