Chief of Staff

About the position:

Xtreme Lashes is looking for a business savvy, diplomatic & highly organized Chief of Staff to support our President, CEO and Co-Founder, Jo Mousselli.

She/He will be responsible for driving the facilitation and execution of the CEO’s strategic initiatives and priorities. As a critical member of the Xtreme Lashes Executive Team, the Chief of Staff will work cross-functionally with all departments and be exposed to many of the internal facets of the business functions while supporting the CEO. This position requires the ability to tune into the vision of the CEO, and prioritize, balance and influence multiple, competing initiatives.

A day in the life of the Chief of Staff…

  • Under the direction of the CEO, develop strategies & tactics, and key processes, policies & procedures that facilitate growth and management of the business
  • Direct, contribute to & monitor strategic projects and program management for the CEO
  • Assist in developing short-range and long-range plans, and manage high level scheduling, planning, tracking and communications of major projects and events
  • On behalf of the CEO, provide direction, guidance, motivation & project management support to the CEO’s direct reports, and ensure projects are completed in a timely manner
  • Use critical thinking & problem solving skills to judge situations, considering business, personnel, financial, legal, and time implications, and take appropriate action
  • Serve as a liaison and gatekeeper for the CEO by handling low-risk matters & conflicts, and escalating only critical priorities & high-risk matters to the CEO
  • Effectively handle risk and crisis management on behalf of the CEO
  • Manage the CEO’s support team by overseeing her scheduling, booking and day-to-day calendar management, and overseeing the maintenance of her performance & appearance across key spectrums: physical, mental, emotional, & social
  • Provide administrative support, attend meetings with/on behalf of the CEO, and prepare internal and external communications & presentations
  • Facilitate successful relationships between the CEO and internal/external parties
  • Serve as a brand ambassador and personal ambassador for the CEO, and manage the CEO’s social media and PR presence

What you bring to the table…

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • MBA is a bonus
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory management experience
  • Minimum 2 years of project management experience
  • Able to handle multiple, complex projects & competing priorities
  • Exemplary organization skills to be applied to self, CEO and others
  • Business acumen across all departments: marketing, sales & service, operations, product development, financial, legal, HR, quality control & assurance, talent & culture, warehouse & distribution, Education & learning, supply chain & inventory management, and creative
  • Proficiency in CRM programs (Salesforce), project management software, and Microsoft and Apple programs and products
  • Master communicator via written, verbal and presentation channels
  • Proficiency in math, data analysis, business analysis, and financial reporting
  • Experience with digital and e-commerce platforms preferred
  • Operational risk management & crisis management preferred
  • Professional certification in engineering, health & safety and/or beauty is a bonus
  • Successful management of professional social media accounts is a bonus 
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other departments in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
