Content Manager/SEO Copywriter

About the position:

The Xtreme Lashes Marketing team is looking for a creative and self-driven Content Manager who is passionate about writing, interested in beauty, and is able to express complex ideas with simplified yet compelling content to encourage customer engagement, increase brand awareness, and drive sales and website traffic.

As a key part of the marketing team (and working cross-functionally with other departments), the Content Manager will be responsible for generating engaging brand and product messaging to be used for an international audience of beauty professionals and customers.

A day in the life of the Content Manager…

  • Translate the vision, values and voice of Jo Mousselli into written communication
  • Grow customer engagement by providing high-quality content that is relevant to the brand, our customers, partners and employees through multiple channels, including but not limited to web, blog, email, social media, presentations, and brochures
  • Take ownership of writing, editing, and proof-reading content
  • Encourage, monitor and support a cohesive writing style across various channels
  • Develop the theme, design the brief, and produce the content for weekly newsletters to be sent to Lash Stylists and customers
    • Use our Automation software, Pardot, to send, analyze, and optimize email communication
  • Improve website traffic and page rank by using Search Engine Optimization (SEO) tools and copywriting:
    • Conduct analysis to evaluate popular phrases and/or questions being searched on Xtreme Lashes website
    • Perform SEO tactics for popular phrases and/or questions, including keyword search, site audits, and information architecture planning to direct traffic to appropriate landing pages
  • Work with the Creative team to develop time-sensitive material for digital or print that align with the Xtreme Lashes by Jo Mousselli® brand
  • Assist in setting KPIs, A/B testing, analyzing and optimizing the performance and ROI of digital content
  • Assist in developing the social media strategy for the brand, develop engaging social media content, and schedule and analyze posts using Hootsuite

What you bring to the table…

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, communication, related field (experience in lieu of degree will be considered)
2 years of related experience 
Experience with writing for brand, brand positioning and brand voice
Excellent communication skills and collaborative attitude
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
Successful management of professional social media accounts
Experience using SEO and marketing automation tools is strong preferred
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and deliver projects with short deadlines
