Quality Assurance (QA) Technician

About the position:

Xtreme Lashes’ Quality Control department is looking for a detail-oriented and self-driven Quality Assurance (QA) Technician who is able to convert processes into standard operating systems and meet industry standards through meticulous attention to detail. 

The QA Technician will be responsible for maintaining documents throughout the manufacturing process to ensure that products are safe, meet customer & international requirements, and perform as designed.

A day in the life of the Quality Assurance Technician…

  • Under the guidance of the Quality Control (QC) Manager: define, develop, review and execute test plans based on quality control project specifications
  • Assist the QC Manager in developing and initiating standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation
  • Collaborate with the QC team to ensure products are quality control tested and released in a timely manner
  • Perform scientific and analytical tests to determine that materials, packaging and manufacturing products meet Xtreme Lashes’ quality standards and specifications
  • Generate non-conformance reports for any non-conformance identified in a quality audit or other process review
  • Communicate unambiguous, defensible, clear and concise definition of significant issues or developments identified during quality activities so that corrective action can be initiated by the QC Manager
  • Collaborate with the Shipping & Receiving department to coordinate and maintain incoming products, QC retains, and QC inspection deadlines
  • Collaborate with PD to assess samples and develop evaluation processes for new products
  • Work Cross-functionally with the Product Development (PD) and Research & Development (R&D) to ensure all quality control processes occur according to deadlines
  • Complete Quality Control and Quality Assurance documentation
  • Establish and maintain quality Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and forms
  • Manage the circulation of artwork approval
  • Assess workload and priorities along with adjustment of time to complete work within existing deadlines

What you bring to the table…

  • Bachelor’s Degree in chemistry, biology, microbiology, food science preferred
  • 2+ years of experience as a QC technician or QA technician strongly preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Intermediate-Advanced Microsoft Office skills: Outlook, Word, Excel, Access
  • Knowledge of routine laboratory procedures
  • Ability to critically examine, write, and follow technical procedures
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to identify and define technical problems
  • Able to work in an environment of multiple and competing priorities, and reprioritize when needed
  • Ability to work independently with limited direction as well as working with others as a member of a team
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • A commitment to learning and development
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other departments in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
